With unprecedented growth in the adoption and use of open source software we worked with OpenUK to understand, evaluate and measure the benefits of open source software in the UK.​

The three part report sought to expose the value of open source software to the UK economy.

Impact

The research highlights the tangible and intangible benefits of open source software in the UK economy. Placing a numerical value on the benefits to the wider economy and GDP.​

It allows all sectors of the UK economy to understand, plan and take account of open source software and its potential to enliven agility and innovation and to see the UK as a centre of excellent for open source development. ​
