Companies deploying AI now outperform the market

Challenge
We worked with Microsoft to explore the competitive advantage AI could bring to organisations, their people and to UK society. We revealed that organisations using AI outperformed the competition by 11.5%. Despite competitive gains, only 24% of UK business leaders had an AI strategy in place.
We proposed key technical, cultural and ethical steps organisations needed to take to fully seize AI’s potential.
Impact
The research was launched by Microsoft’s UK COO in front of 6,000+ Microsoft customers and partners at it flagship EMEA enterprise event, Future Decoded.
The report achieved 96 articles in UK national, trade and regional press, including an exclusive with The Daily Telegraph.
A copy of the report was requested by the Prime Minister and it was also referenced in the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport’s UK Tech Competitiveness Study, published in 2020.
